I called and was transfered to a near by branch 5 times AND HAD TO LISTEN TO THE SAME MESSAGE EACH TIME SO I FINALLY GAVE UP.
Enterprise Rent-a-Car in Belfast is a very small office location without a large fleet in place. Nevertheless Seth did his job in exemplary fashion, still providing the highest level of customer concern and service that has earned Enterprise another customer who will be using their services again.
Later - I walked to the office (half an hour, uphill) and was told that even if I had gotten through, they wouldn't have picked me up -- too busy. It seems to me that if you are too busy to keep a major advertising promise, you need more staff. This is the second time on this trip that Enterprise has been too busy to pick up -- the other was in Bar Harbor.
I had reserved my car on line so Seth was expecting me. Although he did not have the car I had requested available, he went out of his way to be sure that he did select a car for me that suited my purpose for that day. This was important because my need was to attend two meetings a long way apart and the car was more than "just a temporary" vehicle for me. I knew that 450 miles later this would be important, and Seth clearly understood my need and delivered.
Enterprise Car Rental in Belfast, Maine and it's manager, Seth, is HIGHLY recommended. Five Stars folks: THAT's a lot.
It's been many years since I had a need to rent a car. I was surprised to find an Enterprise location close by as the rental companies I had used in the past were all more than an hour's drive away. Not only was I pleased to find a close-by location, I was more than pleased with my entire Enterprise Rental experience and I want EVERYone to know about it.
In an age when it seems that more and more people provide less and less to their customers, Seth in Belfast is much more than a mere exception: I was pleased to find someone who not only showed up, but did his job exceptionally well and truly cared that I, THE CUSTOMER, was satisfied. I hope that Enterprise management is really aware of the outstanding asset Seth is to their management team!
It all begins with people, of course as the you should always expect the car itself to work and do its job. But at the Enterprise office in Belfast, I found a young manager named Seth who demonstrated a perfect example of professionalism and the highest level of customer service that I have experienced in quite a long time.
Exactly the same experience as the review above -- called repeatedly to get the promised pickup service -- to save a one mile walk to the Enterprise office -- and could not get to a human. I was repeatedly "transferred to another branch", which in turn, did not answer the phone.
Later - I called the national Enterprise 800 number and after going through the usual phone tree was told that there was no way they could contact the Belfast office except by the phone number I tried.
Horrible experience.
